Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Native bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo sessions for decades. Clients from many of the surrounding states get in trucks and travel into Oklahoma to wager on Bingo on the weekends.
The 1988 IGRA was introduced after a benchmark determination by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Indian tribes located in Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the initial Oklahoma Indian tribes to take advantage of the betting laws, and at this time control ten casinos of their own.
